Did Ancient Biotech Create "Nephilim"? Will Modern Science Bring Them Again?
The Apocryphal books of Enoch, 2 Esdras, Genesis Aprocryphon and Jasher support the Genesis story, adding that the sin of the angels grew to include genetic modification of animals as well as humans. The Book of Jasher, mentioned in the Bible in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18, says, "After the fallen angels went into the daughters of men, the sons of men taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order to provoke the Lord"(4:18). This clear reference to the Genesis 6 record illustrates that "animals" were included in whatever cross-species experiments were being conducted, and that this activity resulted in judgment from God.

Is Murder All In The Mind, Or Is There "Something" More?
Last Wednesday on the Fox News Channel, Evangelist Franklin Graham said Cho Seung-Hui, the killer at Virginia Tech University, was "filled with evil,” and that Satan was responsible for the mass killings of 32 people at the V-Tech campus. "There is evil in the world, no question about it,” Graham said. "I believe Satan, the devil, is behind this … This young man was filled with evil. There’s no way to describe the fact that he could go and murder this many people and do what he did without this man being possessed by an evil spirit who brought this carnage on this university.” Graham's view is based on religious tradition that sees murderous intentions as inspired by the Devil, "a murderer from the beginning" (John 8:44). Not everybody agrees on the origins of violent behavior, and strides in understanding human brain chemistry and genetics now have some neurologists hoping to eventually defuse violent behavior and to someday eliminate tragedies like the university massacre in Virginia.

NASA's recently released ultra high resolution pictures of the "face on Mars" reveal details as small as a few inches across including what some believe to be girders, windows and walls from ancient structures. Richard Hoagland and his Enterprise Team believe this is the smoking gun. "The debate is over," he says. "I no longer need to prove that these are ruins, my critics need to prove that they are not."

Do Mardi Gras and Carnival Revelers Sense Call of Ancient Deity?
The question some may now consider is -- is a mythical god of the underworld, a spirit historically identified with Satan, entertained during New Orleans's Mardi Gras, Rio's Carnival, and Sydney's Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras? Talk Of Apocalypse From US President Down
First came 9/11 and the beginning of the war on terror. Then a tsunami in Asia killed approximately 250,000 people. Hurricanes Katrina, Wilma, and an earthquake In South Asia followed, which claimed tens of thousands more lives. 2006 witnessed leaders of countries referencing terms like "Apocalypse" and "Armageddon" to describe the uneasy times. 2007 has started out with record snowfalls in parts of the US, the national weather service is predicting even more blizzards, and experts warn that a deadly avian flu virus could pass over to the human population at any time in a full-blown pandemic, potentially bringing global markets to their knees. It's enough to make anybody wonder what in the world is going on. For many folk, these are the signs of the End Times.

Behind The Veil In Washington DC -- The Rise Of Angelic Rule
On January 20, 2001, President George W. Bush during his inaugural address twice referred to an angel that "rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm." His reference was credited to Virginia statesman John Page who wrote to Thomas Jefferson after the Declaration of Independence was signed, saying, ``We know the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong. Do you not think an angel rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm?'' Five weeks later, on Wednesday, February 28, Congressman Major R. Owens of New York stood before the House of Representatives and prayed to the "Angel in the Whirlwind." He asked the spiritual force to guide the future and fate of the United States.

While Barna did offer some encouraging words about the increase of Bible reading by Americans, he pointed out that people are "still in a shake-up period where [they] are trying to discover how to fit [religion] into their increasingly fragmented, busy and changing lives. Few people are seeking to remove God from their life. They're just not sure when and how often they will pencil Him into their schedule."
